The DAMAGER project officially started in December 2025 under the European Defence Fund (EDF) 2024 programme. The consortium kickoff meeting took place on 20 January 2026, bringing together all five consortium partners from Italy, Austria, Spain, and Romania.

The meeting marked the official start of the 48-month research programme funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF) 2024. Participants discussed the project work plan, defined responsibilities across the work packages, and established the communication and reporting framework for the duration of the project.

DAMAGER aims to validate and de-risk fundamental technological bricks for the rapid deployment of turbojet-propelled UAVs, with a total budget of €3,994,444.98 fully funded by the European Union.

The consortium is coordinated by HIT09 SRL (Italy) and brings together complementary expertise in ceramic additive manufacturing (LITHOZ, Austria), metal additive manufacturing (AENIUM, Spain), aerodynamic simulation and CFD (ERGON RESEARCH, Italy), and gas turbine testing and validation (COMOTI, Romania).
